Try it out and let me know if this satisfies you need. To get around this I use the Server Recommendation page from NordVPN ( ) and just set up a few of the best servers, or my favorites based on location that I want to have readily available. You have to choose which ones you want to make available for connection. The only downside I can think of is I don't don't believe it automatically finds the quickest/closest server. No command line necessary or need to download a whole program to connect/disconnect. The system tray gives me a little key icon to let me know that I either am, or am not, connected to NordVPN. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found here ( ) straight from the NordVPN website.īasically you set up NordVPN directly in Linux/Ubuntu's Network Manager, and when complete, in order to connect you just click your network icon in the system tray and choose connect, and vice versa to disconnect. I also use NordVPN on my Ubuntu machine and I connect using the Linux Network Manager.
